We went to the Archer Ale House this evening. The Ale house is located in Fairhaven; about a two minute walk from the boathouse. It's a great little pub located in the basement of an old building. They have plenty of board games to play as well as authentic darts. A tableful of old guys with rosy cheeks and thick sweaters were sharing pitchers of Guiness. I don't know much about Irish pubs, but the Archer Ale House seemed pretty legit. One thing I'll have a hard time getting used to is the price of beer in Washington. Don't get me wrong, Washington has some amazing microbrews. But $4 a pint is unusual to me. I'm used to getting two pints for that price. There are
some things I'll miss about Wisconsin.
Update: We went to our local grocer to purchase some breakfast items. However, it was nearly 10 PM and other patrons were still purchasing beer. Can't get
that in the Badger State!
Ack! First message erased! Well, a blue boathouse! You guys need to be writing a book or something, it's almost too much :) thanks for sharing, very cool blog - Miss you but glad Washington is wonderful for you.
