Mike and I went early and spent the morning at the Seattle Aquarium, which we hadn't been to since 2007 when we were still living in Wisconsin and were just visiting the Northwest to see if we liked it. Though crowded, being that it was a weekend, the aquarium was really neat, and I'm surprised how well I remembered it from our previous visit. My favorite animals were the sea mammals. I wouldn't mind having an otter for a friend. I wouldn't mind that one bit.
We then met up with Dave, Brad, and Jessica for some afternoon tours and tastings. Jessica showed us around the University of Washington - Seattle campus, as she is going to school there this year. The campus was gorgeous and it is definitely a place I'd like to tromp around at in the spring when the foliage is in bloom.
Next we went to a brewery where we had sandwiches and, of course, beer. My uncle has done his share of home brewing, which gave him and Mike a lot to talk about, as Mike received a home brewing book for Christmas from his parents that has sparked his interest.
We took a walking tour of Capital Hill and got appetizers at another restaurant before going to a popular pizzeria for dinner. By the time we left, we were certainly full. Uncle Dave was in town though. And, if you have ever spent time with my uncle, you know that it's easy to get hungry every twenty minutes or so!
It was great to see you Uncle Dave. Send my love to Auntie Laura, Sonya, and Michael. I hope you can all visit soon enough. :)
