Mt. Pilchuck

In July, we hiked up Mount Pilchuck. We'd heard great things about this day hike. We even tried to go last summer with Brad and Jessica, but couldn't because there was a lightning storm that day. We lucked out this year, though; it was crystal clear and gorgeous outside. When we got to the summit, where there was an old fire lookout, we had a 360 degree view that was nothing short of breathtaking.

It's too bad to see graffiti in the middle of the mountains, but we thought this person's artistic choice was an interesting one. He/She must really like Adam Sandler.


Does it look like I'm a rock climber? :)

    OK kids, these pics almost make me want to retire to the Pacific Northwest. But I still have to convince Mike (I don't think it will happen!)

    Well, has Mike Junior seen these pictures yet???

    Come on, Junior, don't tear Joan's dreams of kayaking all year round and playing with her (one day) grandchildren away from her. Plus, won't you need someone to play Uno Attack and Cranium with when you have the extra free time that comes with retirement? I can't think of anyone more exciting to play with than us.
