Near the entrance of the zoo, we found the ostriches. I think this one had a crush on me...
A well-designed overlook allowed us to have an overhead view of the giraffes as they munched on some leaves. I don't think Mike zoomed in for this video at all. We were actually this close.
I mentioned in my earlier post that what sold me most on this zoo was the educational shows it had for visitors. Here are some clips of the lion feeding:

Your eyes did not deceive you. That was me making friends with Caprice, the sweetest hawk I've ever met. It was a big deal, too - hundreds of spectators, and I was like one of five or six to meet Caprice. Thanks for drawing attention to me when I rose my hand, Joan. I owe you one.
