After I finished up at work on Thursday, I had a few errands to run. My first stop was at the Grocery Outlet to get some canned salmon for the girls. As I was checking out, the cashier and I engaged in several lines of dialogue, nothing thought-provoking, just small talk. I was about to grab my receipt and go when the cashier told me I was the hundredth customer.
The next thing I knew, she was on the loudspeaker announcing my good luck. The other patrons applauded, and I was directed to "spin the wheel." I had only been in this grocery store one other time and had never even known they had any sort of prize wheel. Sure enough, it was just like the ones you see on game shows. I spun, and before I knew it, I was picking out a free candy bar, courtesy of the Grocery Outlet. There wasn't much of a decision to be made. Of course, I selected a Pay Day. I felt like I was winning the lottery, and it was only natural to pick a bar that referenced money. Duh.
You know, I've never tried my luck at a casino or even a raffle. Maybe I should. Then again, who needs gambling when there's the Grocery Outlet?

Wow! I didn't realize places actually did that. I thought it was just a thing on tv or in movies. Well done you!
