The next day, we decided we couldn't hibernate any longer. The girls have been excited about the snow, and sometimes you just gotta give a dog a bone. Between tag, catch the snowball, and mitten keep away, we all got our exercise in and had a blast doing so. I think the girls are hoping they'll get to play these games again next week when Cort visits. We'll see if we have snow or slush by then.

Staying In and Out of the Snow
As the flurries continued to fall this last Saturday night, Mike and I met some friends downtown to take shelter from the cold in a bar that would fit right in in ol' Wisco. At a corner table in the Grand Avenue Ale House, we taught Jessica cribbage, and, might I add, she caught on quickly. Though our goal to get away from the snow this winter has been shot down, our search for Wisco pricetags on brewskis was reached. A couple of $5 pitchers later, and our cheeks were rosy, but not from the cold. The night ended well as Mike, Arica, and I shared a festive bus ride home. Nothing says happy holidays like large velvet bows and miniature trees made of tinsel fastened to the back of a city bus.
