Snow Day!

TK here. Maybe we'll get some pics up soon, but for now I can at least confirm for you in writing that, yes, snow has graced Bellingham. The first flakes fell on Sunday and have since accumulated to a four-inch thick blanket over the city. On Monday and Wednesday, the public schools had a two-hour delay, and today they went all out and closed. The banks shut shop early yesterday, and who knows how many other businesses. A semi took a digger on an interstate exit ramp, causing traffic jams, but hopefully no fatal injuries (knock on wood). It's like the snow Wisconsin receives on any given winter day was spread out here over the course of four days, and the city is up in arms. Though, I'll admit, without plows, four inches is a lot more dangerous than you'd imagine. So, here I sit, home at the computer, safe from the elements and the harsh Northeasterly winds. The locals say they haven't had this much snow in years. Maybe Mother Nature didn't want Mike and I to feel so far away from home this holiday season. Thanks, MoNa... I guess.
