Rewind to December

Wow. It's 2011. It's February 2011. What happened? I guess it's time we tell you about our Christmas, which was very good. 'Twas our first Christmas in the new home, and so it was heartwarming and monumental in a way.

Brad and Jessica hosted the cookie frosting this year. Though we forgot to take any pics of the actual cookie party, we did take these later:

Some people thought this cookie shape was a mitten. Mike thought it was a face.

Yeah! Christmas Eve in our new home!

We want to learn to garden this summer. My mom got us this book to kick things off. Thanks, Mom!

Mike swears he's never met a dog who loves presents as much as Merri. I think she learned it from Uncle Flash.

Trudy on her new bed...

For Christmas Day, we went down to Seattle to spend the day with Brad, Jessica, Beth (Jessica's mom), and some of B and J's friends. Brad and Jessica made a delicious, beautiful meal. We continued with last year's traditions and added some new ones. Brad and Jessica spoiled us with gifts, too, which wasn't necessary, but was very kind.

Here's one of those new traditions I was talking about... das boot!

And here's one of the traditions we kept with from last year, recording a holiday song...

Other new traditions (well... maybe)...

Partner push-ups

and leg wrestling (the credit here goes to Chris Porterfield)!

Here's Mike training Drew in the ways of this challenging sport:

The next morning, we were able to start things off right, courtesy of my Christmas gift to Mike: a juicer! We're healthier already. Really.

Merry belated Christmas. We hope yours had as much boot drinkin', leg wrestlin', juictasticness as ours did! Cheers!
